Massachusetts Gold Star Families Tree Dedication

This year the Commonwealth will host an inguaral dedication of the Massachusetts Gold Star Tree.  The tree will pay tribute to local Service Members who have given their lives in service to our Nation and to the families who continue to carry their legacy forward.  Photos and messages from loved ones will be displayed on the tree and serve to remind us of the tremendous sacrifices made for our Freedoms.  At the dedication Gold Star Families will have an opportunity to personalized Gold Star ornaments.

This project is a partnership between the Military Friends Foundation and the Massachusetts Department of Veterans’ Services, the Offices of the Senator President Therese Murray & Speaker of the House Robert A. DeLeo, Senator Mike Rush – Senate Veterans and Federal Affairs Committee Chairman, Massachusetts Veterans’ Service Officers Association and Gold Star organizations.

Following the dedication, the public will be able to visit the tree through First Night at Boston City Hall.
