Boston Marathon Tough Ruck 2014

What: We are a group of military members whose sole purpose is to come together to honor and remember our Fallen comrades. We will walk the 26.2 mile Boston Marathon course with our Rucks. We are the Military Friends Tough Ruck Project.
Who: Any active military can participate – Soldiers and Airmen are encouraged to be in full ACU or ABU duty uniform while carry a Ruck sack/pack. The weight in the pack is up to the Rucker.
Where: Hopkinton, MA Start Line of the Boston Marathon

0300 – Arrival
0445 – Opening remarks on safety and thank you
0500 – Step-off to begin the Tough Ruck
Estimated time of completion for most groups will be between 1300-1430.

Swag: All Ruckers who raise $1000 or more by April 1st will receive the official ”GO RUCK” 2014 T. All donations are tax deductible and can be mailed to Military Friends Foundation, 14 Beacon Street #706, Boston, MA 02108 or made online via PayPal at www.militaryfriends.org/donate. Please list in the memo which Rucker the donation is for so that the Rucker get credit towards a “GO RUCK” T.
Legal Stuff: Each Rucker is participating in this event independently and at their own choosing understanding the risks involved. Tough Ruck trainers will be making great training recommendations but if you have medical concerns please see your own Doc! More legal stuff. Please take precautions along the course and each Rucker will sign a disclaimer with more legalize before the Ruck.
GO RUCK! Basic guidance behind the “TOUGH RUCK”
+Always stay to the sides of the road, moving WITH traffic early in the A.M. before the route is closed off.
+Stretch and hydrate constantly
+Hydrate some MORE! There is a theme here!!
+Never interfere with the elite competitors in any category, courtesy to them and the BAA for allowing us on the course.
+Change socks and eat often and be ready to be INSPIRED!
