What: We are a group of military members whose sole purpose is to come together to honor and remember our Fallen comrades and while raising funds to support their families and service members in times of need. We will walk a 26.2 mile Marathon course with our Rucks. On April 15, 2013, the Tough Ruck members were on the finish line of the Boston Marathon meeting with Tough Ruck volunteer & Gold Star Father Carlos Arredondo just before the horrific bombings occurred. The Tough Ruck joined the first responders to aid those injured in the blasts and exemplified the best of what our military has to offer. Over the past year, thousands of military personnel and families of the Fallen have contacted us to join the Ruck and in support the Tough Ruck project.
When: Saturday, April 18, 2015
Report Time: 5:30am-6:30am Step-off: 7:00am (All Ruckers MUST complete the course within 9 hours)
Who: All military (including college ROTC units and service academies), veterans, first responders, and civilian supporters (NEW for 2015) can register and join us. All encouraged to be in full ACU or ABU duty uniform while carrying a Ruck sack/pack. The weight in the pack is up to the Rucker. Each Rucker will wear the name of a Fallen Comrade on their Rucks.
