Massachusetts Cares! 32E Grant (Pilot Program)
The Military Friends Foundation Massachusetts CARES! Grant is a pilot program designed to publicly recognize deploying Massachusetts National Guard Members and Reservists. The program will provide $200 grants to deployed E-7s and below who, like so many, face financial challenges during a deployment. This grant is funded through the state’s Military Family Relief Fund – a voluntary donation box on Question 32E on the Massachusetts State Tax Form. This state benefit was created by the Massachusetts General Court in the fall of 2009.
“For me, as a military mom, the Massachusetts CARES! Fund is a tremendous help in taking care of some of my son’s financial responsibilities while he’s away. This helps take care of one less bill he has to worry about, so that when he does return, in January, 2011, his finances will be on track.” – Susan Lynn, mother of Moses Lynn
Qualified applicants may apply once every 12 months he/she remains activated.
